Hardboard

Our company has been manufacturing hardboard since 1964. Today we operate a cutting-edge board painting line where only water-soluble priming and printing dye as well as acrylic UV varnish is used. We also use modern cutting equipment that cuts boards in sizes required by the customer in a fast and high-quality manner.

In 2005 we have introduced Stallionboard – a new trademark for hardboards.

All raw materials used in the hardboard production are compliant with the requirements by the Ministry of Health. From 2010 hardboard has a certificate FSC.

UAB Baltwood belongs to NFB FEROPA (European Federation of Fiber Board Manufacturers) which represents European hardboard and softboard manufacturers using the time proven, wet-process system. NFB FEROPA has established a new natural product brand to certify that fiberboard manufactured by NFB FEROPA members complies with all European health and environmental standards. The Natural Fiber Board brand assures consumers that their homes, furnishings and automobile can be made with save and healthy fiberboard.NFB hardboard products are manufactured by a highly specialized industry using only pure wood fibres. NFB FEROPA members do not use any hazardous substances. NFB boards are clean and safe for human health and considered formaldehyde free. Formaldehyde has been classified, on June 2004 by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), as carcinogenic to humans. NFB products are completely recyclable and biodegradable.
