UAB Baltwood is a part of Grigiškės group of companies.
UAB Baltwood started in year 2003 as a manufacturer of wooden pallets. Good cooperation with customers, our experience in the wood sector and continuous investments in additional equipment secured the further development and growth of our company. Today the main company products include solid wood panels, sawn timber, wooden pallets, biofuel pellets and garden sheds.
We have wood-drying kilns.
The company processes per year up to 100,000 m³ of softwood. The products are sold in domestic and foreign markets.
In 2011 company signed a contract due to Proactive Reliability Maintenance with UAB SKF Lietuva (www.skf.com).
The purpose of this contract is to ensure good quality of production with effective and suitable equipment.
In response to industry's ultimate need to produce more with less, SKF has combined its knowledge and experience with the latest technology to develop solutions for your specific conditions.
In 2010 company started implantation of LEAN system (www.lean.org).
The core idea is to maximize customer value while minimizing waste. Simply, LEAN means creating more value for customers with fewer resources. A lean organization understands customer value and focuses its key processes to continuously increase it. The ultimate goal is to provide perfect value to the customer through a perfect value creation process that has zero waste.
In 2010 UAB Baltwood was awarded an FSC Certificate (www.fsc.org/).
In 2010, UAB BM TRADA Lietuva – a subsidiary of BM TRADA Certification – performed an audit at Baltwood, verifying the compliance of our sawmill production line to the requirements under special FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) standards.
In June 2010, UAB Baltwood was awarded an FSC Certificate. This certificate ensures that products are manufactured using wood acquired from responsibly managed forests combining environmental protection, social welfare and a long-term economic benefit.
